On Saturday, August 28, Los Alamitos Race Course announced again that its Thoroughbred purses have been raised across the board. This is the fourth time this meet that the TB purses have been increased! Purses for $5,000 Thoroughbred claimers now stand at $18,000 while purses for $4,000 Thoroughbred claimers are now $12,000. The fastest horses in the world continue to race every Friday through Sunday night at Los Alamitos. First post on Friday is 7:15 p.m. Saturday's action gets underway at 7 p.m. while Sunday's card is now starting at 6:30 p.m.!
