1ST RACE: Purse $10,000, thoroughbreds, maiden claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.

     PASEO DE RAMON (Gomez) showed solid early speed when second in first local try vs. class-dropping winner while taking on stronger field for this level. DR. TONG (Guce) went evenly while saving ground when third in first local try at this level and has leading distance rider up. LAST CHANCE BOBBY (A Bautista) came with a nose of third in last fourth-place tery vs. similar and has been third or better in six of 18 starts.

 

2ND RACE: Purse $7,635, maidens, fillies, 2 year olds, 300 yards.

     SASSY WAVE (Huerta) was solid second in last vs. class-dropping winner and broke very slow in prior fourth-place outing. SHE OUGHT TO GO (Cruz) accelerated nicely past the 1/16-pole when easily outworking rival in strong 12.2 gate drill for debut. TRYING (Mendez) broke sharp in last fourth-place trial outing and draws nicely while dropping back to the maiden ranks.

 

3RD RACE: Purse $13,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, fillies and mares, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.

     CHOBE CHIKA (Gomez) was in hand when battling between horses for lead past the ¼-pole in last sharp win vs. similar and looked solid in prior maiden win. BAGELS N BONES (Guce) lugged in past the 1/8-pole when second as the favorite vs. top pick in last and won her prior three outs. MI MEJOR CARTA (A Bautista) never looked back in strong debut win vs. class-dropping runnerup while coming her final 1/16 in sharp 6.14.

 

4TH RACE: Purse $13,695, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 350 yards.

     FULL BOAT (Andrade) was a stakes winner on this oval last year and draws nicely for return. JW MARSHALL (Rubio) seeks his fourth straight victory and defeated two next-out winners in last rapid victory at lower level. OUGHT TO BE HIGHER (E Garcia) ran hard throughout in last stakes runnerup try and tries hard every time.

 

5TH RACE: Purse $9,600, thoroughbreds, claiming, fillies and mares, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.

     TRICKY SPEED (Gomez) opened clear lead midway around the far turn when posting easy comeback win and was claimed by good barn. UNUSUALLY BRITE (Guce) was distant runnerup in first local try vs. top choice and has leading rider for high-percentage trainer. WARREN’S CAT WOMAN (Sandoval) has been idle for nine weeks since last front-running Arizona victory and barn scored with a shipper here a few months ago.

 

6TH RACE: Purse $6,280, maiden claiming, 2 year olds, 300 yards.

     BUYING SNOW (A Bautista) showed ability vs. two strong maiden fields last April and was third in debut vs. eventual Ed Burke Million fastest qualifier Leave The Scene. HIGH TIDE (Cruz) broke poorly and was bumped back at the start of last better-than-looked fifth-place showing vs. class-dropping winner. THE BIG DIPPER (R Aceves) lugged in early and finished well when posting 12.4 gate drill for debut.

7TH RACE: Purse $6,900, claiming, 3 year olds, 300 yards.

     ROYAL COMANDER (Mendez) has been privately purchased since last troubled outing 10 weeks ago and showed big strides under a hand ride in strong 12.0 gate drill two weeks ago. GARFIELDS BEDUINO (Conklin) rallied to drop a head photo vs. prior $2,500 winner Czechsix in last and overcame rough start in prior maiden win. SHEAINTCATCHABLE (Loza) rallied for third after veering out to get bumped at the start before shifting in soon thereafter in last improved try.

 

8TH RACE: Purse $13,095, allowance, 3 & 4 year olds, 300 yards.

     GREAT BRO (Cruz) broke very slow before altering course in last strong maiden win nine months ago and posted quick 17.8 gate drill for return. MIGHTY ICY (E Garcia) won a Los Alamitos Two Million trial in last start nine months ago and is well drawn for comeback. JP CHOICE (DeAlba) lugged in throughout after quick start in last quick maiden win seven weeks ago and benefits by a recent race.

 

9TH RACE: Purse $25,000, Sgt Pepper Feature Handicap, 3 year olds, 350 yards.

     SNITCHER (Rubio) scored terrific stakes win in last when coming his final 1/8 in rapid 9.26. KR DRAGONFLY (Conklin) sizzled when beating easier at shorter distance over this oval two outs ago and seeks third straight victory. CORONA STREET (Mendez) returns to her favorite oval and relished the far outside post.

 

10TH RACE: Purse $7,890, fillies and mares, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 300 yards.

     RECKLESS SECRET (Conklin) rallied nicely to win at this level in last and has been no worse than second in last four outs. RUNAWAY TRICKSTER (R Aceves) drops into much easier spot and was bumped in at the start when third from the rail post two outs ago. RUNNIN ROSIE (Mendez) kept to her task for fourth vs. better in last after getting bumped from both sides ast the start.

 

BEST BET: SNITCHER (9TH RACE)
