1ST RACE: Purse $7,000, thoroughbreds, maiden claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
TURF CLUB QUEEN (Guce) battled for the lead to the 1/16-pole when fifth vs. much tougher in last Santa Anita outing and lands last meet’s leading distance rider. DANCININDYSPOTLITE (Arana) has been prominent early while third or better in last four tries at this level and makes a quick eight-day turnabout. FAST LANE LARRY (Rosales) has been away poorly in all three starts and unleashed a rally outside horses past the 3/8-pole before tiring in last.
2ND RACE: Purse $10,000, maidens, 3 year olds and up, 870 yards.
ARACELI B C M D (Aragon) has shown terrific early speed in three setarts vs. much tougher and trained locally last year. SCENE ENUF (Orozco) benefits by recent racing at this distance where he has been third or better in lat five outs. OPUS DEI (E Hernandez) dueled for the lead around the turn over the local daytime one-mile oval before tiring past the ¼-pole in last outing vs. tougher field and also trained locally last year.
3RD RACE: Purse $10,500, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
IN CONTROL (Bednar) is much better than last start over the daytime one-mile oval indicates and ran second twice vs. tougher under this rider last September. BOMBAY BOB (Guce) has been gelded since last third-place try one month ago and steadied when trying to lug out before the 3/16-pole in better-than-looked try two outs ago. ALL MAGIC (Orozco) dueled hard for lead throughout in last neck loss over the day one-mile surface and was sharp prior second vs. recent $4,000 runnerup Rainsford.
4TH RACE: Purse $8,500, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
ANYTIME MAGIC (J Sanchez) is back at best distance where he won three races last fall and new rider is having solid meet. INITIATIVE (Aragon) looms the one to catch for new connections which do well with first-out claims and was sharp second in last vs. 12-time lifetime winner Senator Bob. FOUR GAELS (E Hernandez) has been third in last three outs and is one of two speed foes in this field.

5TH RACE: Purse $12,000, allowance, 3 year olds and up, 870 yards.
SHINING HOPE (J Sanchez) rallied nicely for second vs. prior 870-yard allowance runnerup Councilman in first try at this route and meets much easier field here. NEXT BOOK (Aragon) has run well at this distance several times and was second two outs back vs. eventual $6,250 winner Aikau. ADRIATIC SON (Orozco) was hard to manage when lugging out throughout form the rail post in first local try and is capable of showing early zip.
6TH RACE: Purse $8,695, claiming, 3 year olds, 300 yards.
LOVIN N LEAVE M (C Mendez) broke super in last handy win vs. similar, draws nice post and is the field’s lone multiple winner. DOLLAR SIGN (DeAlba) had the rail post when sixth vs. top pick in last and new trainer does well with first-out claims. DEVOUT (Gomez) was respectable fourth vs. stronger in last after breaking through the gate before the start and drops two class levels.
7TH RACE: Purse $11,025, allowance, 4 year olds and up, 300 yards.
LOTTA DYNASTY (C Mendez) was quick early in last two solid 100-yard victories and captured a 300-yard stakes here last July. NYMPH (Huerta) broke slow in last derby outing and won three stakes vs. own sex last year. MONEY TOO BURN (Arvizu) dropped nose photo vs. prior Fresno stakes winner Tsing Tao in last and is well drawn again.
8TH RACE: Purse $20,000, Barbra B Handicap, 4 year olds and up, 550 yards.
HE IS THE RISINGSTAR (DeAlba) crushed a similar field in last 550-yard stakes win five weeks ago and won this race last year. FRONT AND CENTER (Guymon) removes blinkers after breaking slow in last tough trip vs. top pick when taking up sharply before the 1/16-pole and won two 550-yard races in 2015. MISS LOUJEAN (Bednar) is speedy thoroughbred mare who posted rapid 870-yard allowance win in last and tries the straightaway for the first time here.
