SUCCESSFUL KNIGHT (Gomez) rallied four wide into the lane in last neck setback vs. similar 10 weeks ago and has hustling rider up. MISSILE MISSILE (Sandoval) is the one to catch in this paceless field and had clear lead to the 1/16-pole in last runnerup try at this level. DING DONG DEREK (Gavica) broke poorly in last two outings and was four wide at the 1/4-pole in last distant third-place try vs. prior maiden $5,000 runnerup T.W.'s Tank.
2ND RACE: Purse $9,090, claiming, 3 year olds, 350 yards.
DM FIRING SIX (Andrade) came away in sluggish style when sixth vs. stronger in last and won nicely vs. better two outs ago. REXY ON FIRE (Mendez) altered course to the inside soon after the start and had run late in last fifth-place try vs. sizzling winner at shorter route. FANCIE FIRE (Huerta) ran hard throughout in last third-place try vs. prior $10,000 winner Dandys Cartel and found best stride too late in prior fifth-place outing at shorter route.
3RD RACE: Purse $7,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 1/2 furlongs.
SAN DARINO (D Navarro) took up sharply when shut off at the start of last sixth-place try vs. stronger when moving well past the wire. ARM CHAIR QB (Contreras) was well placed third into the stretch in last fourth-place try vs. stronger and should be among early leaders here. TEXAS DEVIL (Gomez) was game second in last vs. prior $2,500 winner Midnight Excess and has run two consecutive solid races under this rider.
4TH RACE: Purse $8,310, claiming, mares, 4 year olds and up, 300 yards.
EYES AZOOMER GIRL (Mendez) lugged out past the 1/8-pole and never quit trying in last third-place comeback try vs. prior $10,000 winner Silver V. SIZZLING PJ (Andrade) gets positive post switch after last fourth-place try and was bumped back leaving the gate when fifth vs. better two outs ago. CHICKS CRASHIN (Suarez) was hard-trying second in last vs. recent $12,500 runnerup Illegal Velocity and is back with own sex.

HAWKISH TO THE END (Mendez) lost her action in the hind quarters over a wet oval near the 1/16-pole in last to ignore and looked strong in prior win at this distance. SILVER V (Sanchez) scored rapid win in last over prior $16,000 runnerup Hawk Had It and gets positive class hike by top barn. CORONA HEARTACHE (Andrade) has good early quickness and won nicely two outs ago at higher level in fast time.
7TH RACE: Purse $25,000, Katella Handicap, 4 year olds and up, 350 yards.
NEWPORT THURSDAY (Nicasio) looked sensational in last daylight win in a non-winners-of-two lifetime affair and gets tested for class. PAPPYSCORONALILBRO (Suarez) set a 330-yard track record in last strong win with quick start and draws nicely vs. this stronger field. FIRE IS ON (Huerta) veered in to get bumped back at the start of last fifth-place try vs. major Grade I winner Jess You and I.
8TH RACE: Purse $5,300, maiden claiming, 3 & 4 year olds, 330 yards.
RGR BLUE GIRL (Contreras) was strong third in last vs. deadheat winners who had previously finished second for maiden $2,500. FLY TO CORONA (Peinado) drifted in steadily to the 1/8-pole when fifth in final 2009 start vs. stronger last June when facing recent $8,000 winner Ice Melt. DD JUST A KISS AWAY (Sanchez) lugged inward early over a wet track in last fourth-place try and retains strong rider.
