Betting on a Cure for Breast Cancer Night at the races helped raise funds for Susan G. Komen LA County affiliate. The event featured a Fashion Expo in the track’s Finish Line Room in which breast cancer survivors served as models. The gate crew, headed by starter Gary Brinson, outrider Eric Nagduch and the pony riders at Los Alamitos, all wore pink t-shirts in support of Betting on a Cure for Breast Cancer. Pony riders also participated in a “Decorate Your Ride” contest. Yanet Rodriguez won a gift bag courtesy of AQHA and the Los Alamitos Gift Shop for her great job decorating her pony horse, Lumpy. Dannielle L'heureux and her pony Mazepan finished second in the contest.
