Vincent Treyes’ Duck Dash N Go has a knack for delivering big efforts at Los Alamitos Race Course. The filly by Corona Fast Dash has won two races and has finished in the money in four of her last five starts at the Orange County track.

Her most recent big effort at Los Alamitos came on Friday night when the Monty Arrossa-trained filly won the $15,000 Rebs Little Lulu Handicap by ¾ lengths over Sunbeamssecretbeauty at 350 yards. The Bobby Cox-bred runner came into the Rebs Little Lulu after finishing sixth to Kiddy Up Cowgirl in the PCQHRA Breeders Derby. She showed her talent in her outing before the derby final, as she posted a nose victory in a trial to the $184,000 race. She was also a two-time stakes runner-up here last year. Those second place efforts came against the outstanding Time For Jess in the Merial California Distaff and versus Whata Corona in the $25,000 B&W Stakes on AQHA Bank of America Racing Challenge Night at Los Alamitos.

The Oklahoma-bred Duck Dash N Go earned $8,250 in the Rebs Little Lulu to take her career earnings to $53,692. Ridden by Rodrigo Aceves, Duck Dash N Go covered the 350 yards in :17.648. She’s won eight of 16 career starts.

Helen Beamer’s Sunbeamssecretbeauty ran third to Duck Dash N Go in the aforementioned PCQHRA Breeders Derby trial before her second place effort in this race. Ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala for trainer Chris O’Dell, the Mr Jess Perry filly earned $3,375 for this effort. She’s finished in the top three in seven of her nine starts this year. Designs By Dynasty, Jess A Lil Fishy, Jess Klas, and Doing Trix completed the field.

The Rebs Little Lulu is named in honor of the four-time stakes winner at Los Alamitos. Bred by Jacqueline Stephenson, the Reb’s Policy mare won the Grade 1 Anne Burnett Invitational Handicap, Grade 2 Lassies Handicap and the Independence Day Handicap in 1983. She was also a winner in the Bardella Handicap in 1982 and fourth in that year’s Grade 1 Golden State Derby. For her career, Rebs Little Lulu won seven races and earned $173,644.
