Top Career Profile:  When Jabonerita Chicks won the La Pacifica Handicap at Los Alamitos on March 19, 2004, it gave trainer Rodolfo Viramontes his first victory at the Orange County oval. Many more wins soon followed, as the first year trainer went on to claim 36 more wins to finish 11th in the standings. Rodolfo now operates a nice-sized barn of around 30 Quarter Horses. In addition to Jabonerita Chicks, he also campaigns 550-yard star Blastin Holland.  "They can't beat him at 550-yards," Rodolfo's brother, Francisco Viramontes said. "We claimed him from a barn that has a lot of great horses, so we knew that he was a talented individual. We got him out of a 300-yard race but the more we saw him run the more we noticed that he could finish strongly. We began running at 550 yards and luck has been on our side." When the Viramontes stable heats up - watch out. During a 45-day stretch at the Orange County oval in 2005, Rodolfo saddled 17 winners from 42 starts. That's an incredible win ratio of 40%. While all of those wins came in either maiden or claiming races, there's no denying that Rodolfo is only a few top caliber horses away from making a name for himself  at the national level.
