Joiner, Wootan, Smith, Yates and Abrams' Louisiana Senator is the 10th fastest qualifier to the $1,000,000 Los Alamitos Super Derby following inspection of an enlarged print of the photo finish - which features a horse's individual time by 1/1000ths of a second - according to the track's racing secretary, Ron Church. "Louisiana Senator's time was :19.646," Church said. "Mr B's time was :19.648."

Louisiana Senator will join a field that already includes millionaires Foose and Tres Passes as well as Grade 1 PCQHRA Breeders Derby winner Jessanotheraffair. The 10 fastest qualifiers from Friday's trials will return for the Super Derby final on Saturday, November 7. Louisiana Senator won the Golden State Juvenile Invitational Stakes last year. He ran fifth in a memorable running of the Grade 1 Golden State Derby earlier this year. Mike Joiner trains Louisiana Senator, who was third behind Foose and Double Out in Friday's third trial. Louisiana Senator is a colt by Jess Louisiana Blue out of the Corona Cartel mare Corona Perfection.

Meanwhile, Mr B is eligible to run in the $30,000 Town Policy Stakes to be held on Friday, November 6.
