CHRIS WADE'S HANDICAP FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 12

ST 5-RASSLER finished a solid 3rd versus a good group of daytime rivals when sitting a close up 3rd thru the turn prior to the steady finish for the trifecta placing when earning a quality figure for the lid-lifter. This runner did run well in the nighttime debut 3 back despite some trouble. Should garner a good trip with much speed signed up. 6-QUE SERA SIR RALPH finished well for 2nd versus a long gone "Lone Speed" 15 nights ago and after a tough start when putting up a nice figure on my charts. The late threat inside the 1/16th pole. 2-EXCESSIVE CAT tired steadily in his last over the daytime surface versus the topper in their like last. The speedster did have to go very (21.31) fast to clear slightly but his speed could put him in front to the top and give him a look.

ND 2-BELLAGIO BAGS showed a nice run down the backside after a slow start to reach 3rd prior to the steady fade versus a solid group of rivals across Town when earning a number that's "right there" tonight. The shipper has been prepping well every 7 to 9 days apart for his nighttime debut and he gets a solid speed jockey aboard. 4-MUCHO SUERTE broke slow and went to climbing down the backside prior to the decent run through the turn and even paced finish 4th versus an "open company" long gone speedster. The prior 3 efforts were 2nd's at this lower level and the dropp'll wake him up. 3-NAUKANAUKA broke slow and outward in his last to lose his best chance but he did put forth a nice run thru the turn prior to the steady fade versus a solid daytime group when earning a comparable number and the drop enhances.

RD 6-IN SUSPENSE exits a 6th place finish versus a salty group of Turf Rivals down South when showing good speed to clear down the backside prior to the steady finish versus a long gone winner. The figure earned on my charts is easily best in here and the barn is stellar with shippers and as Y'all kn ow....if the like the Sod, the Love Los Alamitos. The one to beat as the Chris' Picks Best Bet on the Race-Card. 3-HE DID broke a step or two slow in his last daytime effort when falling back to last prior to showing a lil bit of run to the wire far back. The effort earned a number that'll give the slowly improving sort a look in the underneath exacta. 2-EVERTORIANO broke slow and inward at the start and then fell back steadily to last prior to the decent late run for 4th versus a crusher when earning a decent figure. The late run will be finishing some at a price.

TH 4-CAPITAL OUTLAY went well for 3rd versus a solid group of daytime rivals when earning a solid figure for this event and he was purchased by a quality Owner/Trainer Combo that does well with new trainees. Showed speed over the Turf down South and if they like the Sod, they'll Love Los Alamitos. Will be a turn time player as the deserved favorite. 1-WESTERN GRIT has shown the early way in 3 straight over the surface at this level and that's where he figures "right back" on my charts for a superb jockey/trainer combo. Will be on the lead yelling "catch me if y'all can" and he won't be odd's on tonight. 3-THE SCENT crushed on the ship-in from a Turf Affair from down Del Mar and he did it impressively when putting up a solid number. Should be a threat.

TH 1-HEY JUAN broke slow when leaning back at the start to lose multiple lengths prior to the big run down the backside to get within a neck of the odds on chalk thru the turn and stayed on his heels until the 1/16th pole. The improving sort has been 2nd in 3 straight and a clean start could put him in the minor upset mode. 4-CRYPTO CRAZE broke a step slow at the start but still showed a nice turn of foot to be a close up 4th prior to the nice turn time and like late run for 2nd versus a well meant 1-5 favorite. The figure earned is competitive in here and his prior was a crushing nighttime win. Will be in the mix. 6-PERFECT D went  well throughout for 4th in the Winter Championship when putting up a figure that's close in here "right back" and he draws well for his stalking style.

TH 5-PAINT ME MO FAMOUS finished 2nd in an Inner Mountain Futurity Trial when earning a competitive figure for this event and the ship-inner prepped well (B-/Grade) well for the level and the connections do well with new trainees. 1-LOOKS GOOD broke a step slow but still showed some speed despite running a bit head/cocked early. The improving sort did finish a steady 2nd verus a long goner when putting up a figure that'll put this one in the photo. 3-ROYALTYS INVADER has improved in each subsequent start and her effort 34 nights ago was her 2nd straight 3rd place finish when breaking well on the lead prior to the steady finish. Will need another baby step forward to be in the exotic mix.

TH 1-COWBOY SWEETHEART has shown a nice late run to the wire in both local starts after tough getaways when closing well for 3rd in each. The figures earned are slightly best and if an elusive clean start is in the offing? then this runner should be tough to hold off late. 2MW ISNT SHE LOVELY finished a "much better than looked" 5th versus a salty group of Trial Rivals 49 nights ago after a less than stellar start. The long strider then showed a nice way of going when finishing well on her own. Will be on the toppers heels. 5-AJ PRINCESS went steadily for 3rd in her most recent career best earning effort when breaking inward and bumping a rival to lose some ground prior to the nice late run. Will be a threat with a repeat from the good outside post.,

TH 6-COO JOE went well for the runner-up placing in his last when breaking nicely despite getting brushed at the start. After said getaway, this runner was on the engine throughout and held nicely when getting nose bobbed on the wire. The effort was a "career best" on my charts and it's slightly best in the finale for a solid jockey/trainer (21%) combo. 2-BF OUTRAGEOUS ANDREW broke a step slow and outward in his last but was still near the lead throughout under light pressure when earning a figure that's on the toppers heels tonight "right back" tonight. 4-SPECIAL BATCH is an in and outer (one good one ehhh) deluxe who exits an ehhhh effort when breaking slow and getting crossed by a super group of Trial Rivals. If we toss that effort away and look to the prior crushing maiden win, then this well bred (Fredaville) good looker will be a contendaaa. Good Luck ! !
