Only four juveniles drilled on Thursday morning at Los Alamitos, but each one has a breeding line that jumps off the page, not to mention that they all posted solid times in their first official workout.

The Oklahoma-bred filly Xeriscape had the fastest 220-yard clocking of :12.30 while working alongside stablemate Executive Walk, colt bred in Utah who worked in :12.60. Both juveniles are owned by Reliance Ranches and trained by Mike Robbins.

Xeriscape is a First Down Dash filly out of A Dream To Remember. The legendary First Down Dash is the sport’s all-time leading stallion and the 1987 AQHA World Champion. Meanwhile, the 8-year-old broodmare A Dream To Remember enjoyed a fine racing career, winning five of 14 starts with $248,438 in earnings. In 2012, she won the Grade 2 Hobbs America Futurity and was second in the Grade 1 Southwest Juvenile Championship. She also won her trial to the All American Futurity and qualified to the Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby. A Dream To Remember’s dam is Hallowed Dream, a famous Louisiana-bred Thoroughbred and multiple stakes winner. Hallowed Dream won 25 of her first 27 career starts while racing mostly in Louisiana. She earned $740,144 in her 30-race career. Xeriscape is a half-sister to Stand In The Sun, who finished fourth in her Ruidoso Futurity trial and was second in a maiden race also at Ruidoso last year.

Executive Walk is by Walk Thru Fire and out of the super mare Executive Looks. She’s the mother of the unbeaten AQHA and PCQHRA champion 2-year-old colt KVN Corona, who qualified to the March 31 El Primero Del Ano Derby and is already a winner of the Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity and Grade 2 PCQHRA Breeders Futurity. Executive Looks is also the mother of Grade 1 Los Alamitos Super Derby winner Big Lew. KVN Corona and Big Lew are both by Corona Cartel. As for Executive Looks, she was great on the track, winning the Grade 1 Manor Downs Futurity and Grade 3 Classic Chevrolet Heartbeat of American Handicap. She ran in 21 stakes races during her career.

Paul Jones sent a pair of juveniles owned by Lana Bailey on Thursday morning. Working as a tandem, The Divas Dynasty outworked Jessica Helene in the 220-yard drill in :12.40 to :12.60. The Divas Dynasty is a Texas-bred filly by Corona Cartel and out of Kates Dynasty, who won the 2013 Texas Classic Futurity and $572,882. The 7-year-old mare also competed in the All American Derby and Rainbow Derby in 2014. Kates Dynasty is the mother of One Mighty Eagle, who finished second in an All American Futurity trial last year.

Jessica Helene is an Oklahoma-bred filly by Mr Jess Perry and out of Belle Helene, who earned $214,858 in her 10-race career. Belle Helene won her trials to the Ruidoso Futurity, Rainbow Futurity, and All American Futurity, and was second to Ms First Prize Rose in the 2013 Rainbow Futurity.
