LOS ALAMITOS RACE COURSE CONTINUES RACING; FACILITY TO BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING FOR SIMULCASTING
LOS ALAMITOS RACE COURSE, CYPRESS, CA… Under strong recommendation from California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Alamitos Race Course will reluctantly close to the public for live racing and simulcasting. Los Alamitos will run its scheduled live Friday thru Sunday evening programs with only licensed trainers and grooms with horses participating in that evening's action and essential racetrack staff permitted inside the facility.
Track management will continue to closely monitor in real time the latest knowledge and information regarding COVID-19 with the well-being and safety of our guests, race participants and staff remaining our highest priority.
The weekend live racing program can be viewed on “The Quarters” on TVG plus on approved advance deposit wagering partners and at some simulcast satellite facilities in California and nationally. Racing fans are also able to enjoy the live racing action plus race replays for free at losalamitos.com. First post time on Friday and Saturday is 6 p.m. Sunday’s eight-race card will start at 5:30 p.m.
Should State of California officials change the recommendations, Los Alamitos Race Course will make the appropriate changes to our simulcasting operations and live racing programs. The 70th season of racing at Los Alamitos continues every weekend through the conclusion of the meet on Sunday, December 22. For more information and updates visit losalamitos.com.
