RACE 6 – 300 YARDS FOR FILLIES

#1 Nonsense Coronado – April 4  :12.40 at 220 yards - Outside horse

An Oklahoma-bred filly by Coronado Cartel and out of Political Nonsense, Nonsense Coronado is working here against Your Painted Fate, who faded to a seventh-place finish last Saturday. Nonsense Coronado will break in and bump her workmate but will find her stride nicely. She’ll be asked twice right handed then hustled three more times. She will finish nicely while outworking her rival by a quarter of a length. Nonsense Coronado finished with the seventh fastest of 48 works.

 

#2 Racie – March 21 :12.60 – Solo work

She was scratched out of a race on Saturday, April 11. Racie posted a solo work on March 21 when leaving nice and fast out of the gate. She will begin to drift inside just past the gap and the rider will straighten her out at once and then switch hands to tap her once right-handed. Racie will drift in again at the wire before shifting out wide during her gallop out. This was the 29th fastest of 67 drills on March 21.

#3 Paint Me Fearless – April 14 :12.40 – ide horse

Bred in Washington, Paint Me Fearless is a filly by PYC Paint Your Wagon out of Fearless And First. She’s working from the inside against the Corona Cartel colt Milan Red. Pay Me Fearless will bobble at the start and then get bumped by Milan Red. She overcomes the early and is never asked from that point on while outworking Milan Red by a neck. Paint Me Fearless had the 13th fastest of 45 drills.

 

#4 The Best Feeling – April 16  :12.50 - Outside horse

The Best Feeling is a filly by Docs Best Card out of Stuckonafeeling. A half-sister to multiple stakes winner Moonie Blues, The Best Feeling will win this drill in a time of 12.5 over stablemate DF Docs Best Dollar. Leaving the gate from the inside post, The Best Feeling will get pushed a couple of lanes to the inside but still finds the lead and is asked only once at the halfway point.  She will win easily by about a length. The Best Feeling recorded the 8th fastest of 40 drills.

 

#5 A Solid Reason – April 4 :12.60 – Inside horse

Working from the inside, A Solid Reason is here taking on the gelding Landrum Lane. The Good Reason SA filly will break inside but levels out quickly and continues to stride out all on her own. Jockey Mark Jasso never pushes the filly and she finishes smoothly while crossing the wire about ¾ lengths behind her foe. The time was 23rd fastest of 48 drills.

#6 Fastnmagic Prize  - April 2 :13.20 - Outside

Fastnmagic Prize is a filly by Fast Prize Cartel and out of the stakes winner Magic N Rhythm. She is working from the outside against La Dorada Czech. Fastnmagic Prize will break okay but trails her workmate right away. Her rider will encourage her several times and will continue to stay on task while getting outworked by two lengths.

 

#7 Rite On Time – April 16  :12.70 - Outside

Rite On Time will take on Jess Paint Me in a very even work for both. A filly by Favorite Cartel, Rite On Time is a little antsy in the gate and breaks to the inside. She levels out quickly and gets into her stride. She’s never asked and will finish about a neck behind Jess Paint Me.  Her time of :12.70 was the 24th fastest of 40 drills on April 16.

#8 Roving Kind – April 16  :12.50 - Inside

The Roving Kind will break from the inside as part of a three-team set on April 16. The filly by Kiddy Up will finish second in this work behind the outside horse named Single Brad, who is a gelding by Foose. Roving Kind will break nicely and will shift to the inside near the gap. She’ll be asked a couple of times but jockey will let her work the final 50 yards on her own once Single Brad jets away from his companions in this drill. Roving Kind completes the work with a nice gallop in the 8th fastest time of 40 drills.

#9 Tearfully – April 18  :12.50 - Outside

Tearfully, a filly by Favorite Carter out of the graded stakes winner Forgive Him, will work from the outside against Check Me Out. Tearfully will break fast and straight and will accelerate to take the lead. She continues to advance nicely all on her own while hitting the wire first with daylight separating her from Check Me Out. Tearfully drifted in as she approached the wire and jockey had to grab a hold of her shortly after that when Check Me Out lugged out approaching the clubhouse turn.  Tearfully’s workout time was the 9th fastest of 38 drills.

 

#10 Celtic Rhythm - April 14  :12.40 - Inside

Celtic Rhythm is a filly by Apollitical Jess of the stakes winning mare Three Green Leaves. Celtic Rhythm will go head to head versus Coronas Big Flash, a gelding by Corona Cartel out of the AQHA champion and Grade 1 winner Flame N Flash. Celtic Rhythm is working here from the inside. She’ll lean on the gate before breaking to the inside. Jockey will correct her left-handed and she straightens out and she will continue smoothly from there. Past the wire, Celtic Rhythm will unleash a big, big gallop out. One to watch in a longer distance. Celtic Rhythm had the 13th fastest of 45 drills.

 

 

RACE 7 – 300 YARDS FOR 2-YEAR-OLDS

#1 Watch Over Bella – April 14  :12.10 at 220 yards - Outside horse

Watch over Bella, a colt by One Famous Eagle out of Gotcha Bella, will dominate this work against Dont Ride The Slide. Watch Over Bella posted the morning’s fastest workout while traveling from the outside post. He will break to the inside but will find a high gear at the halfway mark. Horse will begin to drift to the inside and rider Oscar Andrade Jr. will tap him once left-handed. Andrade Jr. will let the horse continue to show his big strides and Watch Over Bella continues powerfully and smoothly. That was the bullet drill of 12.10 from 45 works on April 14.  

 

#2 Baby Boy Deluxe – March 21 :12.30 - Outside

Baby Boy Deluxe, a colt by One Famous Eagle out of Corona Deluxe, will make his move from the outside post while outworking Favorite Doc, who finished third to the impressive winner Opt Out last Saturday night. Baby Boy Deluxe will break sharply and really finds his stride at the halfway mark. He wants to stride out even stronger but rider has a tight hold on him and will let him win the drill while under wraps by a neck. Baby Boy Deluxe was looking to pull away from his competition here. He finished with the 5th fastest of 67 drills.

#3 Jess Packn Heat – March 21 :12.50 – Inside horse

Just Packn Heat is a gelding by Grade 1 winner and champion Jess Good Candy. He works here from the inside against Your Painted Fate, who races last weekend. Jess Packn Heat will win the work, but he does break in sharply. He is corrected left-handed while separating himself from his rival. He is looking to lug out without 50 yards to go and rider will correct him right-handed. From the video images, Jess Packn Heat appears to be a big, stout, talented horse. He had the 17th fastest of 67 drills.

 

#4 This Parties Hoppin – April 14  :12.50 - Inside horse

 

This Party Is Hopping will post a :12.5 work from the inside post when working evenly with Leggolas. A gelding by Five Bar Cartel, This Parties Hoppin will break well but is taken to the inside as he gets crowded by the bigger Leggolas. This Parties Hoppin will find himself next to the rail but he stays on his game and will continue strong with Leggolas breathing down his neck the entire way. This Parties Hoppin will post a nice gallop out in a very gutsy drill.  This was the 21st fastest of 45 drills.

 

#5 Up And Ready– April 14 :12.40 – Inside horse

Up And Ready will go from the inside post in :12.4 while winning the drill easily. A colt by Favorite Cartel, Up And Ready is out of Governor’s Cup Futurity winner Up For It. Up For It will shift inside after the start and will attempt to continue to float in. Jockey corrects him left-handed and Up For It levels out while finishing with big strides. The big strides from Up For It past the wire in a smooth and strong gallop out. He finished with the 13th fastest of 45 drills.

#6 Favorite Five  - April 14 :12.30 - Outside

Favorite Five will go on the outside while working evenly with Million Bound. Favorite Five is out of the Grade 1 winner Five Bar Molly. He is a half-brother to champion Five Bar Cartel. Favorite Five starts perfectly from the outside post. Rider will lose his crop shortly after the start but it will no difference to Favorite Five, as he continues striding perfectly here. He will drift out past the wire, but it is a strong drill and the 4th fastest of 45 on April 14.

#7 Monopolist – April 18  :12.40 - Inside

A colt by Favorite Cartel, Monopolist will start from the inside and will win this drill in a time of :12.4 versus Delighted, a colt by Seperate Interest. Monopolist will leave the gate nicely from the inside and will draw away from rival in steady fashion. He is well clear at the halfway mark and is the work well under wraps. The rider will grab a hold of the left rein near the wire as horse will try to drift out. A very solid work from Monopolist, who had the 3rd  fastest of 38 drills.

 

#8 Bradlyn – April 14  :12.90 – Outside

Bradlyn will work from the outside post and will go :12.9 while facing EG Domingo. A colt by Fast Prize Cartel, Bradly will break his head high and will race the early part of the drill with his head high. He’ll be asked throughout, first left-handed and then right-handed. He will drift to the inside and find himself directly behind EG Domingo. He’ll then lug out wide around the turn.  He finished with the 38th fastest of 45 drills.

 

#9 Emission Control – April 16  :12.90 - Outside

Emission Control will go :12.9 from the outside post while working with Dynastic Energy. Purchased for $70,000 at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale, Emission Control is by Seperate Interest out of the Grade 1 winner Thermonuclear Energy. His workmate is a full brother to graded derby winner Terrific Synergy. In the starting gate, Emission Control will move his head around in the gate and will break a bit slow. He hesitates once more but will then find a nice stride and work solidly while never asked. He finished with the 31st fastest of 40 drills.
