Race 5 – Maiden for 2-Year-Olds at 300 yards
#3 Heatedly – May 30 (Countered 8:40) :12.40 – Outside Horse
One of three horses featured in this segment exiting a drill on the morning of May 30th. Heatedly had the fastest of those three works. She also outdueled her workmate, the Seperate Interest gelding Verbose here 12.4 to 12.6. Heatedly broke in, but she was quick into her stride. She got into a nice athletic stride right away and continued moving fluidly throughout while under a hand ride. She crossed then wire a length ahead of her rival and then followed it with a nice gallop out from there. Her time was the 2nd fastest of 26 works on May 30
#6 Spoil Me – May 30 (Counter 12:59) :12.50 – Inside Horse
The Favorite Cartel filly outworked the filly Make Wave in :12.5 to :13.0 on May 30. Spoil Me broke okay, slightly outward at first. She moved back to the inside and displayed good early quickness. She continued under hand urging from there, floated inside during the later stages of the workout while finishing strongly on the way to posting the 7th fastest of 26 drills.
#8 Fair And Wise – May 30 (Counter 2:30) :12.50 – Inside Horse
The Seperate Interest gray filly will drill from the inside when outworked by the Favorite Cartel filly Izzy B Gone 12.4 to 12.5 on May 30. Fair And Wise bobbled out of the gate, but still came away okay while getting into her stride soon after. She was asked right-handed a couple of times and then tapped again late while getting outfinished by a half-length by Izzy B Gone. Fair And Wise ducked in just after the wire, but she continued moving with some energy during her gallop out. Her time of :12.5 was the 7th fastest of 26 drills.
Race 6 – Allowance for 3-Year-Olds and Up at 330 yards
#4 No Telling – June 6 (Counter 0:20) :18.10 – SOLO
A two-time derby finalist in 2019, the now 4-year-old mare by Walk Thru Fire will be making her season debut and first start since November 2. No Telling worked solo on this morning, standing nicely, breaking perfectly and moving alertly right from the start. She was asked twice at the gap and she responded by continuing to work evenly. She raced under a hold for the second half of the work and then following it up with a good stride past the wire.
