Race 4 – Maiden – 2-Year-Olds at 300 Yards
#5 Makalerina – June 30 :12.6 at 220 Yards – Outside Horse
Outworked Stellish 12.6 to 12.9 after leaving from the outside gate. Makalerina, a filly by Seperate Interest, broke sharply and brushed lightly with her foe at the start. She was focused from there. Makalerina pulled away from her foe during the second half of the drill and continued to show a quick stride to the wire before galloping out in okay fashion.
#7 Reason To Fly – June 30 :12.1 at 220 Yards – Inside Horse
Posted the fastest of 13 drills on June 30 when outworking Masters Call Maid 12.1 to 13.0 Out of the stakes winner Take A Look, the Good Reason SA filly broke in from the inside post but quickly straightened out after the gap and looked strong and smooth from there. She continued sharply across the wire and continued to eat up ground while under a nice hold during her gallop out.
Race 5 – Maiden Claiming $12,500 – 3-Year-Olds and Up at 300 Yards
#2 Salty Knig Choice – June 6 :19.30 at 350 Yards – Outside Horse
Was outworked by Fire Sunset 18.7 to 19.3. Salty Knig Choice scrambled out of the gate but otherwise left in good form. He trailed early on, was asked right-handed but lost ground to his rival. He did run on a straight path while continuing to fade back. He finished multiple lengths behind Fire Sunset while still moving evenly past the wire.
