CHRIS WADE'S PICKS TO CLICK FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 14

Tonight's PRICE PLAYER on the Sunday Evening Race-Card will go in the Opening Leg of the "Best Bet" in all of Night Racing, the Early Pick Four here at Grand Ole' Los Alamitos where the pools are GIGANTIC and the return on your investment could be the same with a double digit winner along the way. In Race 1, the # 5-SURPRISE FASHION is a trouble prone runner deluxe who exits another troubled effort 28 night' ago when 3rd versus a tougher cast of rivals while earning a figure on my chart's that is slightly best in the lid-lifter with everything factored (trouble @ track variant) in for a solid shed-row. In the 6 year old's most recent effort, this gelding leaned back at the gate opening to lose multiple lengths and his early racing momentum. After the tough getaway, this runner was kinda one-paced while wide down the backside and through the turn until leveling out nicely inside the 1/16th pole to garner the trifecta placing followed by a nice gallop out into the clubhouse turn. The number accomplished on my charts is "right there" in this affair and the hard knocker finds himself in a speed laden event that includes 2 stretcher-outer's that will surely set up this entrant's late run and at a nice price. The BEST BET on the Race-Card will be in the 8TH of 10 quality filled well matched event's this closing night of our two night of racing weekend for a top-notch Jockey/Trainer/Owner combo that does well with entrant's of this ilk. In Race 8, the # 3-WATCH HIM GO is a big bodied well bred and like connected long strider that has many a recent figure in his holster that is steadily best in this otherwise closely matched event. In his most recent off the crushing 550 win that probably sapped some speed from said recent arsenal, this gelding broke fairly well to be close up from the get-go. After the decent start, this runner put forth a solid run past the gap to reach a semblance of contention prior to the solid finish at the wire to garner the runner-up position which preceded a super gallop out past the wire. With out top number along with expected better interior speed in his 2nd back off the speed draining elongated maiden journey, we'll push this gelding harshly as the Chris' Picks Best Bet on the Sunday Evening Race-Card. Good Luck Y'all ! !  !
