FAVORITE JESSHAWK COMPLETES STRONG JUVENILE SEASON
EG High Desert Farms’ outstanding juvenile homebred Favorite Jesshawk completed a strong campaign with a half-length victory in the $30,000 Los Alamitos Two Million Juvenile on December 15 at Los Alamitos Race Course.
Ridden by Ricardo Ramirez for trainer Jesus Nunez, Favorite Jesshawk finished his freshman season with five wins from nine starts highlighted by a victory in the Restricted Grade 2 Governor’s Cup Futurity. The son of freshman stallion A Mere Felix also finished fourth in the Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity and was a two-time winner in major futurity trial races. One of his trial outings was for the Two Million Futurity, where the talented California-bred won by ¾ lengths but just missed qualifying to the $1.8 million final.

Lytes Out, a 2-year-old son of champion sire Tempting Dash, finished a head back to earn $3,750 for third. Christopher O'Dell trains the Texas-bred gelding for owner West Texas Racing Partners. T & M Dinwiddle Racing bred the $28,060 earner. Outtasyght, Big Hurt, Powerful Wise Lady, Dash For Power, Vgk Zigfield Follies and Apprehensive completed the field.
